With decades of experience in risk management, finance, insurance, real estate, transportation, logistics, regulatory compliance, organizational management, and military service, Aasi brings the operational background needed to help Cook County prepare for emerging challenges and deliver better value to taxpayers.
Aasi believes District 13 needs a commissioner who will do more than identify problems. It needs someone who will establish priorities, coordinate agencies, scrutinize spending, communicate directly with residents, and demand results.

Flood Prevention and Resilient Infrastructure
Flooding is no longer an occasional inconvenience. It is a recurring threat to homes, businesses, roads, public transportation, and local economies.
Property-Tax Accountability
I propose a property tax exemption for senior citizens who have resided in the same single-family home for at least 35 years. These long-term residents have fulfilled their long-standing financial obligations to our community, and it is time we provide them with the tax relief and housing security they have earned.
Integrating Financial Literacy and Mental Health Education
I propose integrating comprehensive financial literacy and mental health education into our school curriculum from eighth grade through high school, ensuring students are well-prepared to navigate the costs of living and achieve long-term financial independence.
